I am an artist, writer, and wildlife photographer residing in Spokane, Washington. I am lucky enough to spend much of my time traveling the world with my husband and partner Brandon. Together we photograph whales, dolphins, sharks, and the underwater realm. I have played beneath Ocean’s waves from the Seychelles Islands off Africa to the icy waters surrounding Vancouver Island British Columbia. Orca whales have breached beside my boat at sunset. I’ve danced with wild dolphins, and have been “kissed” by gentle manatees. These incredible creatures inspire and delight me.

On many of these trips I bring along my painting supplies and record my endearing subjects on paper, using gouache, watercolor, acrylic paints, oils, and very fine brushes to create my detailed designs. Inspired by native artists worldwide, who use bright colors and intricate patterns to bring life to their paintings and carvings, I strive to capture, in my own unique way, that same raw energy in my work.

My art business, Sirena Graphics, (“sirena” is Spanish for “mermaid”) portrays my love for the sea and its many creatures.
