A Brief History of 4 Seasons Coffee Company
In the Beginning: 
In 1976, with a shared passion for the rich culture and tradition of fine coffees, Tom and Leslie Hutchinson moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to Spokane, Washington to open Eastern Washington's first specialty coffee roastery and coffee house. Their goal was to provide to their customers a unique and truly gratifying experience in every cup of coffee by skillfully roasting exquisite quality coffees selected from the finest growing regions around the world.
Today:
4 Seasons Coffee Company's cozy, historic niche in downtown Spokane continues to offer an atmosphere of warmth and conviviality. A destination point for meetings and gatherings, its old world sense of leisure encourages a smile, a friendly word and the sense that something tastefully different is about to be experienced.
Over the past 27 years, the company's philosophy remains strong--to provide a level of coffee quality that ensures their customers the ultimate artisan coffee experience. They remain committed to selecting only the finest of the worlds' Arabica coffees and adhering to the art of hands-on, small batch roasting resulting in coffees that have been carefully coaxed to highlight unique personalities of body, acidity and flavor.
The demand from espresso drive-throughs, restaurants, and other coffee retail stores for freshly roasted premium coffees promoted the birth of the wholesale side of their company and a recent move to a larger roasting facility to satisfy these requests. Today, their specialty coffees are readily available for everyone to purchase. For Tom and Leslie, a customers delight in a truly great cup of coffee is still the finest reward they could ask for.
